About The Founder

Ebony Greene, MSW and Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern, is the founder of My Life, My Journey. She received her Bachelor and Master degree in Social Work from the illustrious Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. 

She has worked in the Child Welfare field for over 10 years, holding positions to include Certified Dependency Case Manager, Domestic Violence Crisis Counselor and Advocate, Visitation Program Specialist, and Field Educator. She has an extensive background in providing assistance to youth and young adults with disabilities, socioeconomic challenges, and nontraditional family structures. She has also worked with treatment teams to determine the level of care and services needed for clients, directed appropriate reporting’s to legal agencies as needed with respect to abuse and neglect, and monitored case plan progress to determine if termination of protective supervision is appropriate. More recently, she has taken on a new and exciting role of an Academic Coach/Counselor. In this capacity, she empowers students to advocate for themselves, develop time management skills, connect them to resources on campus, and assists them with creating academic, personal, and professional goals, while encouraging students to identify their strengths and weaknesses by assisting them with setting their academic and career goals, and by helping develop habits and other skills to ensure their success. 

Beyond her work experience, she also holds a certification in the State of Florida's Child Welfare system. For years, she has worked to repair strained family dynamics, individual past trauma, advocated for victims of sexual and domestic violence, and monitored parent-child interaction through supervised family visitation.
